Today metrics and alerts
4 min read
Interpret Guest Pulse, Attention, stay counts and operational warnings correctly.
Today is a bounded operational summary for the current Business and accessible Properties. Read each number according to its source and window; values from different cards are not interchangeable.
Guest Pulse
Guest Pulse uses completed Survey Responses from accessible Properties.
Average rating
This is the arithmetic mean of numeric answers whose saved question snapshot type is Rating, among completed Responses submitted during the last 30 days. Responses without a qualifying rating answer are excluded. It is rounded to one decimal place.
A dash means no qualifying rating exists. It is not zero, not NPS and not an average of every numeric question. Open View Insights for broader analysis.
Change vs previous
This subtracts the average qualifying rating in the preceding 30-day comparison window from the current 30-day average and rounds the difference to one decimal place. A positive value means the recent rating average is higher. A dash means either period lacks a qualifying rating.
It is an absolute rating-point difference, not a percentage, forecast or proof of causation.
Top recurring issue
This is the Feedback Case category with the greatest number of cases created during the last 30 days across accessible Properties. It uses case categories such as room, cleanliness, service, food and beverage, facilities, noise or other. A dash means no case was created in that window.
It is a count-based category, not AI sentiment, not the most severe individual case and not necessarily a unique winner when categories have the same count.
Completed responses
This counts completed Survey Responses submitted during the last 30 days. Started but unfinished Responses are excluded. Zero means none matched the window and scope; it does not mean no invitation was sent.
Needs Attention
The summary is based on open cases in New, Acknowledged or In progress status.
- Serious counts High and Urgent open cases.
- Overdue counts open cases with a due time earlier than now.
- The displayed list contains up to six open cases, ordered Urgent first, then High, then other priorities, and then by due time.
The headline badge adds Serious and Overdue. Because one case can be both, that badge can double-count a record and must not be read as a unique-case total. Select View all for the operational list.
Today’s stays
- Arrivals today counts non-cancelled Stays whose check-in date equals the application’s current date.
- Departures today counts non-cancelled Stays whose check-out date equals that date.
- Guests in house counts every Stay explicitly in Checked in status, including one with a passed departure date.
These compact counts do not infer status from dates. At present their calendar comparison is not recalculated separately for every Property timezone. For property-local detail, open Stays: its operational groups use each Property timezone, show Upcoming arrivals for today and the next three days, and show Checked-in departures for today and the next three days.
A property-local passed departure occurs when a Stay is still Checked in after its checkout date. It remains In house and also appears in the overdue Stay group until corrected. For an ELUNIA-managed Stay, extend the date or confirm checkout. For an integration-managed Stay, verify the source system because the active provider mapping remains authoritative. ELUNIA never performs a naive automatic checkout.
Operational warnings
The number shown is the sum of affected-item counts returned by Sending Readiness across accessible Properties. It can include missing main contact, missing Guest email, stale Stay lifecycle, active recipient suppression, disabled Automation, inactive Survey, missing message templates or an Automation entitlement block. Select it to see each Property and corrective action.
Zero means no currently detected readiness issue. It does not guarantee provider delivery, future configuration health or correct Survey content.
