Preview a Survey

3 min read

Review questions, translations and Thank You presentation without storing a response.

Open Preview

From Surveys, open a Survey and select the Preview step. Preview requires access to that Survey’s Property and does not activate the Survey.

Choose the guest language

Choose a language in Guest preview language. The preview updates in place. This selection controls guest-facing Survey text, answer labels, the submission button and Thank You messages. Your account’s interface language stays separate.

The status at the top says Experience ready or Experience needs attention for the selected language. It uses the same content readiness checks as preparation, including applicable shared Guest Messages. Expand Survey content to see affected fields and whether they are missing, outdated or need review.

Published content and fallback

Published guest content uses the content available to guests, including reviewed translations. It does not show unpublished manual translations or replacement AI drafts as live content. If a selected-language translation is unavailable, the warning explicitly labels possible original-language fallback. A mixed-language inspection is not a ready experience.

Choose Prepare / review content for the selected language to open the language preparation page. Open preparation and review opens a recent operation, where you can inspect replacement drafts and publish them explicitly. A warning about unavailable fixed guest interface labels requires Support; translating custom Survey text alone does not prepare those labels.

Check the presentation

The Survey card shows questions in guest-facing order with disabled answer controls and a disabled Submit feedback button. Thank You Page preview shows the standard message and, when enabled, all three NPS outcomes for comparison. Each outcome uses the same content resolution as the public Thank You page.

Preview does not create invitations, store a Survey Response or answers, change response analytics or prove delivery. Existing completed responses retain their saved content. Use a controlled invitation for a real delivery and submission walkthrough.

Readiness and affected fields

Language readiness covers the complete applicable experience: survey, Thank You, invitation/reminder copy, configured privacy-purpose text and fixed guest interface. Canonical availability, tenant publication and property requirements are separate. Discovery includes every property guest preference regardless of stay dates or units. The affected card names each missing/stale customized field; unchanged canonical fields need no tenant AI work. Initial preparation and retry preserve the local card error when credits are insufficient. Finish translations later in setup records a deferral without approving content or unblocking Go live. See Prepare your property.

Preview from the Surveys list

The journey card's Preview button opens a modal containing this same guest preview. Choose the language and inspect the content, then close the modal to stay on the list. Opening or closing it does not accept a setup review, save a policy, create a response or change sending. Edit is the separate route to Survey Builder.
