Accommodation Units

3 min read

Create, rename, archive, restore and safely delete Property units individually or in bulk.

An Accommodation Unit is a named room, villa, apartment, studio or other rentable space belonging to one Property. Assigning it to a Stay connects feedback and operational history to that specific space. ELUNIA does not manage availability or rates.

Manage Units

From the left sidebar, select Properties, select a Property, then find Accommodation units. Property update permission is required.

  • To add one Unit, enter the Unit name, select its Type, and select the Add unit button. Names must be unique within the Property.
  • To create a range, enter an optional Prefix, Start number, End number and Type, then use the range-creation button. A range is inclusive and limited to 250 Units; duplicates stop the operation before creation.
  • To rename or change a Unit’s type, use its edit controls and save. Bulk rename applies the supplied prefix and sequential numbers to selected Units.
  • Archive makes a Unit inactive. Existing Stay history remains, but the Unit is not offered for new Stay assignment.
  • Restore makes an archived Unit available again.
  • Permanent deletion is allowed only for an unused Unit. A Unit referenced by any Stay cannot be deleted because its history must remain understandable.

Bulk archive, restore, delete and rename accept at most 250 selected Units and show a confirmation preview. Bulk deletion skips Units with Stay history and reports successful, skipped or failed items.

Units and historical room information

On a Stay, Room / accommodation unit selects an active managed Unit from the Guest’s Property. The normal form has one accommodation input. Existing imported or historical room text is preserved and displayed when no Unit is selected; a selected Unit takes display precedence. No historical room data is deleted or automatically converted into Units.

If the Unit list is empty, add Units or continue without them. If a Unit cannot be selected, confirm it belongs to the Property and is active. If deletion is blocked, archive it instead. ELUNIA currently has no Unit CSV import; use individual or bounded range/bulk operations.

From Add stay or Edit stay, users with Property management permission can also select Add new unit below Room / accommodation unit. Enter Unit name, select Type, then select Add new unit in the dialog. The new Unit is selected without losing the Stay form. Managers and Staff may select existing Units but do not gain Property management permission through this shortcut.

During setup, use Step 2 Rooms & units. Search matches room names and numeric room names sort naturally (R1, R2, R9, R10). Explicitly deferring units preserves your existing records. See Prepare your property.
