Manual Survey translations

2 min read

Translate Survey questions, options, Thank You content and NPS segments with explicit human publication.

Complete a missing field yourself

Open Surveys, select Edit on the survey, then its Languages tab. The same missing-content cards are available in setup Languages and in the final readiness review. Choose the affected language and expand Review / edit manually inside its card. You remain beside the item that needs attention; you do not need to find a separate editor.

Each form shows the source wording and a target-language field. Translate that field only. For options, matrix rows or columns, enter one translated item per line in the same order and with the same number of items as the source. For example, keep “Invoice” and “Receipt” as two distinct choices. Do not translate the question while leaving its answer choices in another language.

Save a draft or approve

Select Save draft if the wording is unfinished. A draft is private preparation, not ready guest content. When the field is correct, tick the review confirmation and select Approve & publish. Approval applies to that field; other missing fields remain visible. Unchanged maintained defaults are reused without creating paid translation work.

Work through the card until the applicable experience is Ready. Readiness also includes Thank You content and any required guest messages or property privacy-purpose text. A survey-field editor does not edit a message template or property privacy statement; follow the corresponding blocker action for those items.

If saving is rejected

Correct empty required values or mismatched choice counts in the affected form. If the source or saved translation changed while you were editing, refresh, compare the latest text and review again. ELUNIA rejects the old approval instead of silently overwriting newer content.

Saving a draft is not approval; opening Preview is not approval either. Preview shows usable published or maintained content and may show a fallback notice if the requested custom translation is not ready. Do not mistake fallback text for a translated field.

Manual editing uses no AI Credits. See Survey languages for requirements and optional languages, or AI translation if you want assistance drafting custom text.
