Create a Survey

Choose a starting point

From the left sidebar, select Surveys. Select the Create survey button for the direct creation form, or select Create from template to browse the Template Library. A template is useful when you want a prepared question structure; a blank Survey gives you full control from the first question.

Complete the creation form

On the creation page, enter the required Survey name field and choose the required Property select. Description is optional. Choose a Status: a new Survey defaults to Draft. In the Starting point select, use Start from scratch, In-stay pulse, or Post-stay satisfaction. The two prepared starting points add their questions as independent records in the new Survey.

Select Default survey only if ELUNIA should preselect this Survey for future manual invitations and automatic sending rules for that Property. Selecting it replaces the previous default for that Property; it does not alter the other Survey.

The current form does not expose a source-language selector. New direct Surveys use the platform’s current source-language default, English (en). Survey name is limited to 255 characters; description is optional and limited to 2,000 characters. The Property must be one you can access.

Select the Create survey button. After validation, ELUNIA opens the Survey control page, where you can add and configure questions.

What can change later

You can later edit the name, Property, description, status and default selection, and manage questions and translations. Before changing a Survey that already has responses, remember that future guests see the new definition while completed Responses retain their original snapshots. Questions that already have answers cannot be deleted.

Only users with guest-data management permission can create or update Surveys.

Use a survey in guided setup

Step 4 offers Pre-arrival, During the stay and After checkout. Choose a compatible recommended/template survey or Create my own survey. Existing/template selection does not silently replace active sending. A replacement requires its own valid Review & accept survey receipt. Unchanged proven ELUNIA defaults reuse maintained canonical translations for free; editing a field customizes only that field. Optional catalog languages do not become property requirements. The Selected experiences field chooses a journey purpose. Without a reliable purpose/template classification the survey remains under Needs journey assignment until explicitly assigned.
