Feedback notes, tags and audit history

Record internal context, organize cases with tags and interpret immutable audit evidence.

Feedback notes, tags and audit history

Feedback Cases keep three different kinds of operational context. They are not interchangeable.

Internal notes

Open Internal notes, enter text in the Add note text area, then select the Add note button. Notes are visible to authenticated users who can view the case within their Business and Property access. Each note retains its author and timestamp. Treat notes as private hotel operations content: do not paste payment data, credentials, or unnecessary sensitive guest details. Notes are not sent to the guest and are not exposed as note bodies in Guest Journey.

Tags

The Tags card uses a search field and checkboxes; select Save changes to apply the selected set. Tags organize work but do not change priority, due time, state, assignment, or permissions. Authorized users open Feedback → Manage tags to create and manage the Business tag vocabulary.

Tag deletion is restricted by policy and current references. Removing or deleting a tag does not rewrite the immutable case-change audit entries that already recorded tag identifiers; historical displays may no longer have a live tag label to resolve. Choose stable, non-sensitive names.

Audit timeline

Audit timeline is system-created evidence for events such as creation and changes to state, priority, assignee, category, recovery details, and tags. It records actor and time when available. It is not a free-form note stream and has no edit control.

The original Survey answers and source Response are also read-only evidence. Editing operational fields never rewrites those answers. Resolved Feedback contributes bounded event evidence to the canonical Guest Journey; private note bodies, full recovery prose, and hidden audit metadata are not copied there.

Next: Feedback Case or Recover and resolve a guest issue.
