Assignment and operating modes
2 min read
Choose Simple or Team workflow and understand operational ownership versus access.
Each Property chooses its Feedback operating mode in Settings → Feedback Workflow.
Simple mode
Select I manage feedback myself in the How you operate dropdown for a primary-contact-led workflow. The Main contact for guest issues dropdown identifies the responsible contact. Assignment controls are hidden on the case screen, and Attention uses the simple operational presentation. The configured contact can receive serious-case alerts and management summaries where those options are enabled.
Team workflow
Select My team manages feedback when eligible team members should own individual cases. The case shows the Assignee dropdown and Assign to me button. The inbox offers Assignee and Unassigned filters; Attention shows Unassigned and Mine. An assignee must be an active member who can manage Feedback and can access that case’s Property.
Switching modes changes the operational controls and future alert targeting. It does not grant or revoke roles, Business membership, or Property access, and it does not rewrite historical audit records. Assignment is ownership of work—not authorization.
Owners and Admins can manage workflow settings according to current policy. Managers and Staff can manage cases only within their authorized Property scope; Viewers can read accessible cases but cannot update them. Staff Attention is further limited to cases assigned to that person.
After changing mode or responsible contact, select Save changes. Review existing unassigned cases separately: the mode change does not imply that every existing case has a new owner.
