Response funnel

Open Insights → Performance, then use Overview or Survey Analytics. Apply the shared filters before comparing stages.

Exact stages

  • Invitations counts Survey Invitation records created in scope.
  • Sent invitations counts initial-stage Communication records created in scope, linked to those Invitations, whose current state is Sent or Delivered.
  • Opened invitations counts in-scope Invitations with a first Survey-link-open timestamp. This is Survey opened, not email-open tracking.
  • Started responses counts in-scope Response records with a start timestamp.
  • Completed responses counts in-scope Response records whose current status is Completed.

The displayed Invitation conversion is Completed Responses ÷ Invitations. Open rate is opened Invitations ÷ sent initial Communications. Response rate is Completed Responses ÷ sent initial Communications. Each is rounded to one decimal; a zero denominator displays 0%, not a dash.

Counts need not decrease neatly. The Invitation and Response cohorts use their own creation time, while sent Communications use Communication creation time and current state. Filters can therefore include a Response whose Invitation belongs to a different time cohort. Retries and reminders are Communications but only initial Sent/Delivered Communications enter “Sent invitations.” Skipped, suppressed, failed, bounced, complained, cancelled, queued and sending Communications do not enter that denominator.

Average/median time to open runs from Invitation creation to first Survey-link open. Completion time runs from linked Invitation creation to Response submission for completed records. A dash means there is no qualifying duration.

Next: Communication metrics or Delivery Activity.
