Apaleo and guest messaging
2 mins read
Keep synchronization separate from survey activation and sending.
Connecting is not Go Live
Connecting Apaleo and synchronizing reservations do not themselves send surveys or enable workflows. Before Go Live, your planned sending mode can remain Automatic while workflows remain inactive. Complete the connection-screen sending requirements before an initial import; for an already live property, pause workflows and use Manual sending during that review.
Use ELUNIA setup and its Go live button to activate prepared sending where required. Your survey configuration, active workflows, sending mode and communication eligibility continue to determine what can be sent. If sending is already active, newly synchronized eligible Stays can participate in those existing workflows.
Accurate information supports eligible communication
Synchronized Stay dates and status can support pre-arrival, in-stay and post-stay workflows. A usable guest email and the required survey/message preparation are still necessary. Synchronization is not a promise that every imported reservation will receive a message.
Cancellation and No-show make normal survey communication ineligible. A no-show must not receive the normal post-stay survey. Pending delivery is checked against current Stay information. Already sent messages and historical responses remain; a previously issued survey link is not automatically revoked by a no-show.
Review your sending readiness before activation. Contact support@getelunia.com if you are unsure whether a workflow should send.
