Survey Template Library
3 min read
Find, preview and clone a platform template into an independent tenant Survey.
Open the library
The Template Library is an entry point from Surveys, not a permanent sidebar item. From the left sidebar, select Surveys, then select the Create from template button. The page heading Template Library and the Surveys eyebrow show where you are.
Use Search templates, the All touchpoints select and the Filter button. Each template card shows its touchpoint, number of questions, name and description. Select Preview to inspect the full template. Select Use template to open Choose property, then select Create editable survey. The full preview page also has a Property select and Use template button. Select Start blank to use the ordinary creation form instead.
What cloning creates
ELUNIA creates a Draft Survey for the chosen Property and opens its Survey control page. It copies the published template version’s name, description, source language, questions, settings, metric configuration and reviewed or published translations. Provenance records which template version supplied the starting point.
The tenant Survey is independent after cloning. Editing it does not edit the platform template, and publishing a later platform template version does not silently rewrite the tenant Survey. This separation protects intentional tenant changes and the meaning of existing Responses.
Only published platform templates appear in the library, and only users who can create Surveys can access or clone them. If search and touchpoint filters match nothing, the page shows No templates found and suggests adjusting the filters.
Use a survey in guided setup
Step 4 offers Pre-arrival, During the stay and After checkout. Choose a compatible recommended/template survey or Create my own survey. Existing/template selection does not silently replace active sending. Each added survey requires its own valid Review & accept survey receipt; existing selections remain. Unchanged proven ELUNIA defaults reuse maintained canonical translations for free; editing a field customizes only that field. Optional catalog languages do not become property requirements. See Prepare your property.
Filter inside Step 4
In Step 4's template chooser, use All touchpoints or the specific Pre-arrival, During the stay or After checkout choice to narrow the cards. The + Add survey button inside a journey restricts discovery to its explicit compatibility. Review the question content before accepting; matching the journey does not mean you have reviewed the wording. After selection, return to that column, open Review & accept survey, then explicitly accept.
Intended use
The filter uses the template’s configured availability: Pre-arrival, During the stay, After checkout, or Recovery / follow-up. Recovery templates appear in standard journeys only when deliberately classified for them. Unclassified templates require administrator classification before discovery. Later classification edits affect future discovery, not surveys already created from the template.
